About Us

Family values are very much a part of the management of the business valuing staff and customers. Offering a large range of services from house building, extensions & alteration through to general repairs – the old saying “no job too big or too small” still stands.

When George Alexander Davidson, known to everyone as ‘Sandy’, decided to set up his own business in 1953, he probably didn’t imagine that it would become one of Alyth’s longest-established family businesses.

In October 2023, G A Davidson Joiner & Contractor celebrated its 70th anniversary, now being run by the third generation of the same family.

We’ve always had great staff, and we take care of them

They work with us, not for us. We also emphasise tidiness and smartness in our workshop, on site and in our vans and equipment. We are now a team of 5 joiners, 1 apprentice joiner, a labourer and an administrator with Graham Jnr at the helm.
